Doors work as a barrier for possible flying sparks as well, keeping your carpet and your home safe.

Grout Brushes And You: Info You Need to Know if You’re Cleaning Grout

Posted By: home-lover  //  Category: Home Repair

Not all brushes are created equal. Some are better than others. You should only use brushes specifically made for cleaning grout. Read on for more info.

Cleaning your grout
isn’t the easiest thing to do in the world, and certainly not fun at
all. Therefore it’s best to know all about it before diving headfirst
because there’s a bit to know. Most people would say to themselves
“I’ll go buy some grout cleaning chemical and scrub scrub scrub and
I’ll be done” but it’s a bit more than that. Sure, the cleaning agent
is an important part but picking the right brush to actually scrub with
is almost as important. You don’t want a brush with soft bristles that
don’t do anything, and you don’t want to use super-strong metal
bristles that will literally tear apart your grout and tile.

There is a wide range of bathroom cabinets that can be used to accessorize your bathroom in an efficient, but equally aesthetic, way. Bathroom vanity cabinets are a necessary part of the bathroom. Bathroom cabinets serve a variety of functions, from providing counter space to hold small things like contacts, trimmers, and acne medicine. Larger cabinets can hide the unsightly pipes from the bathroom sink and provide storage space for towels, or cleaning chemicals.

Self-assembly Cabinets

Self-assembly cabinets are commonly known as knockdown or flat-packed cabinets among manufacturers because they come in several pieces instead of single units.

An increase in labor costs will push more people to opt for self-assembly cabinets. Assembling certain cabinets would require skill when it comes to the joining of parts - if you don’t fix it well, it will come apart. Fearing that they might damage the cabinets, many people still shy away from assembling more complicated cabinets.

A similar pattern can be found among Ikea’s customers - people are able to assemble small cabinets but they would request and pay for Ikea’s assembly services for more complicated products like kitchen cabinets.

The Evolution Of Kitchen Cabinets

Most kitchens today are already providing what used to be the living room’s main purpose - entertainment and relaxation. These contain cabinets, which provide storage and beauty to the entire kitchen space.

The pre-20th century homes did not have any of the comfort, amenities and cabinets found in today’s kitchen. The kitchens in America prior to the 20th century were equipped with closet pantries, built in cold larders and freestanding furniture. Most often there were tall hutches that served to provide additional storage for food supply and dinnerware. In the center was a long harvest table, which usually served as the food preparation area. A cast iron or large stone sink served as an area for cleaning and washing the dishes.

Perry Home Kitchen Remodeling Project

Home, Ugly, Home

Yes, home is where the heart is. The kitchen is the heart of the home.

Our home and kitchen is the heart of a big, messy remodeling project. We decided to update our kitchen with new cabinets, countertops, and floors. While we were at it, we also want to revise the traffic flow, which means moving some of the plumbing and electrical.

My husband, Randy, decided we would do the remodeling ourselves rather than contract someone to do it. He once built an entire house and it is still standing after 20 years, so I trust he can manage the workload provided I supervise.
